For Illinois families, Nicor Gas has implemented an Energy Sharing grant program to help low-income families meet their winter heating needs.
The grant program provides annual grants to those who may not qualify for Liheap. In order to qualify for the program, households must have income that is less than twice the federal poverty level. Organized by the Salvation Army and partially funded by donations from Nicor costumers.
