New Hampshire residents have a place to turn if they are in need of financial relief during the cold winter months. The NH Office of Energy and Planning Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) is the administrator of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Block Grant, a federal support program that is funded by that Department of Health & Human Services to help people heat their homes.
The NH Office of Energy Planning (OEP) works with 6 New Hampshire based Community Action Agencies to help local residents in need. The CAAs who participate include Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc., Rockingham Community Action, Inc., Southern New Hampshire Services, Inc., Southwestern Community Services, Strafford County Community Action, and Tri-County Community Action.
This program is available for qualified New Hampshire residents and households who are either homeowners or apartment/home renters.
